Shori-ji Temple, also known as Shori-tera, is an ancient temple dedicated to Kobo Daishi's Yakuyoke Kannon (Good Luck Kannon). Located along the World Heritage Koyasan Choishi-michi Pilgrimage Route, it offers a serene atmosphere with a backdrop of Mt. Amabiki and views of the Kinokawa River. The temple features a main hall (Kannon-do), a Jizo-do, a bell tower, and a Daishi-do. The Nio guardians at the temple gate are believed to have been crafted in the mid-Edo period. It's a peaceful spot to visit while exploring the Koyasan area.
