Atoji Church

Overview

Atoji Church, rebuilt in 1984, is located in Mikunoura-go on Nakadori Island, part of the Goto Islands. Situated on a hill easily accessible from Route 384 near Arikawa Port, this white-walled church offers stunning views, including the offshore oil storage base spanning Orishima and Kashiwajima, as well as the red brick Ozo Church. The church's elevated position provides excellent vantage points for observing the surrounding sea and landscape. While the interior is simple, the location makes it a worthwhile stop for those touring the Goto Islands.
