Morimin Shuzo-ten, established in 1883, is a sake brewery located in the former samurai district of Iwatema, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. Just a 1-minute walk from JR Ubikanai Station, this brewery offers a glimpse into the past with its Meiji-era building adorned with numerous sugidama (cedar balls). Visitors can sample and purchase a variety of sake, including junmaishu, nama-zake, ginjoshu, and koshu. The fourth-generation owner is available to provide detailed explanations about the sake's characteristics, serving suggestions, and storage methods. It is the only remaining brewery in Iwatema, making it a worthwhile destination for sake enthusiasts.
