The National Fireworks Competition, also known as the Omagari Fireworks, is Japan's most prestigious fireworks competition, showcasing the skills of top pyrotechnicians from across the country. Held in Daisen, Akita, the event features a stunning display of light and sound against a backdrop of mountains and a river. The competition includes individual displays and grand finale fireworks provided by the event, creating a breathtaking spectacle in the night sky. The venue is located a 30-minute walk from JR Omagari Station or a 10-minute drive from the Akita Expressway Omagari Interchange. This event is typically held in late August.
