Sewa Prefectural Forest, spanning approximately 3,200 hectares in Kimitsu, Chiba, offers a diverse range of outdoor activities. Anglers can enjoy fishing for wakasagi and crucian carp in the two man-made lakes along the Koito River. The forest features a campground on the mountain slopes upstream, accessible via hiking trails leading to a lodge village. Visitors can explore eight hiking courses, a cycling path (rental cycles available), and a sports plaza. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are available at local tourist farms. The forest is accessible by bus from Kimitsu Station, followed by a community bus to the "Kenmin no Mori" stop, or a 30-minute drive from the Kimitsu IC on the Tateyama Expressway. Visit during mid-April to see the Kimitsu city flower, Mitsuba Azalea, in full bloom.
