The Keiunkan Museum in Nagahama is a historical building and garden originally built in 1887 as a resting place for Emperor Meiji. Located a short walk from JR Nagahama Station, this site features a stunning Japanese garden designed by Jihei Ogawa VII, a pioneer of modern Japanese gardens, designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty. Visitors can explore the traditional architecture and serene landscape, including a pond-style garden with impressive rock formations. Keiunkan is also famous for hosting the Nagahama Plum Blossom Exhibition (Bonbai-ten) from January to March. Admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥150 for children. Nearby paid parking is available.
