Aso Oura Villa, located in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is the former villa of the Aso family, one of the three prominent families of the Chikuhō region. It is associated with Tarō Asō's great-grandfather, Takichi Aso. The villa is specially open to the public only twice a year, during the autumn foliage season and the Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival). Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Japanese-style architecture and meticulously maintained gardens, especially stunning during the fall foliage. The villa is conveniently accessible, approximately a 3-minute walk from the Kasamatsu Rikkyo bus stop or a 10-minute walk from the east exit of Shin-Iizuka Station. The serene atmosphere and historical significance make it a worthwhile visit during its limited public openings.
