The Shinano River Okawazu Museum commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Shinano River improvement project. It showcases the history of the Shinano River and materials related to the Okawazu diversion, serving as a comprehensive learning center. The fourth-floor observation room offers panoramic views of the majestic Shinano River and the Okawazu diversion, where you can spot numerous waterfowl, including swans. The museum is surrounded by a park with a water play area and a fishway observation room to watch fish swimming underwater. In autumn, you might even catch sight of salmon swimming upstream. Open from 9 AM to 4 PM, admission is free.
