Mount Kameyama, located on the northern side of Oshima Island in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the ria coast. From the summit, visitors can see the southern Sanriku coastline stretching from Kinkasan to Ayasato Cape, encompassing both the open ocean and the inner bay. The scenic beauty is truly stunning. Reach the mountaintop observation deck via a short climb from the ferry terminal (a former lift is no longer in operation). Enjoy the walking paths around the summit, which lead to a small shrine and covered rest areas. With the opening of the Oshima Bridge, access by car is now convenient.
