This expansive area features stunning landscapes formed by volcanic activity and erosion, including unique rock formations and vibrant autumn foliage. Key attractions include Ao-no-Domon (a historic tunnel), Yabakei Bridge (Japan's longest stone arch bridge), and the panoramic views from Hitome Hakkei in Fukayabakei. Visitors can enjoy driving along the Yamakuni River, cycling, or exploring the various sub-valleys like Okuyabakei and Urayabakei.
