The Katakura Family Mausoleum, located in Shiroishi, Miyagi Prefecture, is the final resting place of the Katakura clan, who served as retainers to Date Masamune. Accessible by Shiroishi Citizen Bus from JR Shiroishi or Shiroishi-Zao Stations, the mausoleum is a 10-minute walk from the Takishita bus stop and offers parking. The site features the graves of successive lords, including Katakura Kojuro Kagetsuna, and memorial monuments to loyal retainers. Nearby, you can also find the graves of Katakura Kita (Date Masamune's wet nurse) and Tamura Kiyoaki. The mausoleum is situated in a serene, wooded area, offering a peaceful atmosphere for reflection.
