Mount Oza

Overview

Mount Oza, located in Murotsu, Kaminoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, offers stunning panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea, including Heigun Island and Yashima Island, from its summit. Reaching the peak involves a moderately challenging hike through varied terrain, including rocky paths and forested areas. Be cautious of slippery rocks, especially when wet. The trailhead is near Ainoura Fishing Port, with parking available in the port area. Look for the stone Buddha near Hounji Temple as a landmark to guide you to the mountain trail entrance. Be mindful of the tape markings along the less obvious paths to ensure you stay on course.
