Nukui Onsen

Overview

Nukui Onsen is located near Lake Tatsukihime, a man-made lake created by the Nukui Dam, which is known as the highest arch dam in western Japan. While not a traditional onsen town, Nukui Onsen features Nukui Springs, a hotel offering a variety of bathing facilities including indoor baths, open-air baths, bubble baths, and cascading showers. The spring water is a simple radioactive cold mineral spring, heated for comfortable bathing. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of Lake Tatsukihime and the Nukui Dam from the open-air bath. It's a great place to relax while touring nearby attractions like Sandankyo Gorge.
