Honganji Hidaka Betsuin, also known as Gobo-san, is a Jodo Shinshu Buddhist temple that gave its name to Gobo City. Founded in 1540, the temple features an impressive main hall rebuilt in 1825 and a large ginkgo tree. While the temple grounds also house a kindergarten, the historic architecture and serene atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. Located in the heart of Gobo, it's easily accessible and offers a glimpse into the area's rich history. Note that access to certain areas may be restricted due to kindergarten activities.
