Kimpusen-ji Temple, a symbol of Yoshino and a key site for Shugendo, is home to the Zao-do Hall, a National Treasure and one of Japan's largest wooden structures. Rebuilt in 1592, the hall houses three imposing Zao Gongen statues, with the central figure standing over 7 meters tall. The hall's interior features 68 natural wood pillars and ornate details donated by Hideyoshi Toyotomi. Located in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture, the temple is accessible via the Kintetsu Yoshino Station, followed by a ropeway and a 15-minute walk. The best time to visit is during the cherry blossom season or in the serene atmosphere of early summer.
