Ushima Island, located off the coast of Kuji Bay, is a small, pine-covered island resembling a resting cow. Accessible a 20-minute drive from Kuji Station, the island offers scenic views and a glimpse of nature. Visitors can attempt to reach the island's Itsukushima Shrine, though the path involves navigating steep slopes. The Kuji Ushijima Lighthouse, located at the island's peak, emits a strong, blinking light visible at dusk. The island is best viewed from the mainland near the Kuji Underground Science Museum Moguranpia.
