Shiwahiko Shrine, located within the grounds of Shiogama Shrine in Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture, boasts a rich history dating back over 1200 years. Originally located in Sendai, it was moved to its current location during the Meiji era. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful grounds and gardens, especially during the cherry blossom season. The shrine is about a 10-minute walk from JR Senseki Line's Hon-Shiogama Station. Open from 5:00 to 20:00, it offers a serene and culturally significant experience.
