Ikeda Memorial Museum

Overview

The Ikeda Memorial Museum in Minamiuonuma, Niigata, showcases the collection of Tsuneo Ikeda, founder of Baseball Magazine and Kobunsha. The museum aims to support sports and cultural exchange with Eurasian countries and features around 3,500 items, including literary materials related to Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo). Key exhibits include cultural materials related to sports, Japanese and international art, and Hearn's literary works. The museum is a 10-minute walk from Urasa Station on the JR Joetsu Shinkansen or a 5-minute drive from the Yamato SIC on the Kanetsu Expressway.
