Overview

Located near Lake Shirakaba in Nagano Prefecture, the World Shadowgraph, Kirie, Glass, and Music Box Museum showcases a collection of fantastical shadowgraph art, delicate kirie (paper-cutting) art, exquisite glasswork, and antique music boxes. A highlight is the shadowgraph art by Seiji Fujishiro, known for its vibrant colors and captivating imagery. The museum also features large-scale kirie pieces depicting the four seasons of Lake Shirakaba. Allow at least an hour to fully appreciate the exhibits. The museum is accessible by bus from Chino Station or Sakudaira Station, or a short drive from the Suwa or Saku IC.
