Located in Nishiyama Park in Sabae, Fukui, Nishiyama Zoo is famous for its adorable red pandas, gifted as a symbol of friendship from Beijing. The zoo also houses red-crowned cranes and Formosan squirrels. Don't miss the Red Panda House, opened in 2016, featuring indoor and outdoor exhibits, a gallery, and a visitor lounge.
