Mount Iwaki Shrine, deeply revered in the region, harmoniously blends with the surrounding cedar trees. It enshrines the spirits of Princess Anju and Zushi-o. The shrine's main hall, worship hall, two-storied gate, inner gate, surrounding fence, and middle gate are designated as National Important Cultural Properties. Located at the foot of Mount Iwaki in Hirosaki, Aomori, it's accessible by a 40-minute bus ride from Hirosaki Station. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and admire the shrine's architecture, especially during the cherry blossom season. Don't miss the unique komainu (guardian dog) statues and the water spring believed to be sourced from Mount Iwaki.
