Matsumae Park, located behind Matsumae Castle, is a sprawling historical site with lush greenery, various historical landmarks, and numerous shrines and temples. The park is renowned for its approximately 10,000 cherry trees of 250 different varieties, which bloom in succession from late April to late May, offering a month-long cherry blossom viewing season. From late July, visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of hydrangeas. The park is a 10-minute walk from the Matsushiro bus stop. Don't miss the Matsumae Castle and the Sakurami Hongen, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
