Ibi Gorge is a scenic area in the middle reaches of the Ibi River, Gifu Prefecture. Formed by the construction of the Nishi-hira Dam, this man-made lake is home to several traditional restaurants along its shores, known for serving freshwater fish dishes and wild boar hot pot. The gorge stretches for 6.9 km and is easily accessible by a 20-minute bus ride from Ibi Station. Designated as part of the Ibi, Sekigahara, and Yoro Quasi-National Park, the gorge offers stunning seasonal beauty, especially during the autumn foliage season. A visit to the nearby Tokuyama Dam is also highly recommended.
