Mount Myōgi, one of Japan's Three Most Famous Strange Peaks, offers a unique and rugged landscape for adventurous travelers. This 1104m mountain features steep slopes and jagged peaks, showcasing bizarre rock formations like the "Stone Gate," "Cannon Rock," and "Candle Rock." Hiking trails range from intermediate routes suitable for general climbers to advanced routes like the Omote-Myōgi Traverse. The Stone Gate course starts at Nakano-take Shrine, while Myōgi Shrine, with a history of approximately 1500 years, is located on the eastern slope. Enjoy stunning autumn foliage and challenging climbs with chain sections, scree slopes, and narrow ridges. Parking is available for free for 100 cars.
