Located within Ueno Park in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the Mount Hisago Tumulus (Hisagoyama Kofun) is one of the largest ancient burial mounds in the surrounding area. This mid-Kofun period keyhole-shaped tumulus offers a glimpse into the region's history. Visitors can easily access the tumulus with a 10-minute walk from Bingo-Shobara Station on the Geibi Line. While the walking paths to the top are well-maintained, the site maintains a natural, less touristy atmosphere. The clearly visible shape of the burial mound is a highlight for those interested in ancient tumuli. Restrooms are available near the base of the hill, and benches provide a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful park setting.
