Okabe Yana is located upstream on the Neo River, one of Gifu's clearest streams. While the traditional weir fishing method (yana) may not be in operation, you can savor fresh ayu (sweetfish) dishes here. Open annually from May 3rd to November 3rd, the restaurant serves a set course featuring various ayu preparations, including grilled, fried, and sashimi. It's a delightful culinary experience to combine with a visit to Tanigumiyama Temple. The restaurant is easily accessible via the Motosu Jukan Road, near the Tanigumiyama Ohashi (red bridge).
