Raijin Shrine, officially known as Ikazuchi Shrine but often called Kaminari Shrine by locals, is a historical site located a short walk from Keikyu Oppama Station. The shrine is known for its magnificent 400-year-old ginkgo tree, a designated natural monument, which is especially stunning in the autumn when its leaves turn golden. The main hall sits atop a flight of stairs, offering a tranquil escape from the nearby Route 16. The shrine also features a memorial to war veterans and a small Hamakū Shrine relocated here in 2008. It's a peaceful spot to explore local history and enjoy the natural beauty of the ancient tree.
