Sample Kobo

Overview

Sample Kobo in Gujo Hachiman offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of Japanese food replica creation. Located in a renovated 150-year-old traditional townhouse in the Hashimoto-cho area, this workshop allows visitors to observe the intricate processes involved in making realistic food samples, commonly seen in restaurant displays. You can also participate in hands-on workshops to create your own food samples, such as sweets tarts or tempura. The facility is a 15-minute walk from Gujo Hachiman Station. Open from 9:00 to 17:00, but closed on Thursdays (except during the summer). While admission is free, the sample-making experiences have a fee. It's a popular spot, so consider booking your workshop in advance.
