Located at the gateway to Madarao Kogen at an altitude of 1,000 meters, the Madarao Kogen Mountain House serves as a visitor center and hub for exploring the area. Here, you can get trekking information, book guided tours, and find lodging and tourist information. The center features a relaxing lounge area with sofas and a scenic terrace. Inside, you'll find a large hall and various experience rooms offering activities like soba noodle making, pottery, and crafts. There's also a 7-meter indoor climbing wall. During the green season, enjoy trekking tours and rafting on the Chikuma River, while winter brings snowshoe tours, primarily on weekends.
