Enryuin, a sub-temple of Daisenji Temple, is known for its unique ceiling art featuring 108 yokai (spirit) paintings by Shigeru Mizuki. Rebuilt in 2009, the temple offers visitors a chance to lie down and admire these playful and imaginative works, including a special karasu-tengu (crow goblin) created specifically for Enryuin. Located a short distance from Daisenji Temple towards Masumizu Kogen, it's easily accessible by car or bus. Open from mid-March to mid-December, Enryuin provides a memorable cultural experience for all ages. Don't miss the chance to explore the surrounding gardens and enjoy the seasonal foliage, especially during the autumn colors.
