Mt. Hachimori Ski Resort, located in Tsuruoka City, is a compact ski area within the Hachimori-yama Recreation Area, popular with local families. Known as the closest ski resort to the Sea of Japan in Tsuruoka, it features a single T-bar lift. Recent years have seen shorter operating seasons due to low snowfall. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Chokai and the Shonai Plain from the summit. Open only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 9:00 to 16:30, it's easily accessible 30 minutes from Tsuruoka IC via Route 7.
