Masumida Shrine, revered as the premier shrine of Owari Province, is easily accessible with a 10-minute walk from JR Owari-Ichinomiya Station or Meitetsu Ichinomiya Station. Dedicated to Amenohiakari no Mikoto, its history is said to begin with Emperor Jimmu. Visitors can explore the Treasure Hall (admission fee applies: ¥200 for adults, discounts available for groups of 30 or more) and admire the sacred dance masks (a nationally designated Important Cultural Property). The shrine also features smaller shrines, a sacred water pavilion where you can draw well water, and a koi pond. The shrine is known for blessings of marriage and textiles.
