Ukishima Beach, also known as Ukishima Coast, is a serene stone beach nestled in Nishi-Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Known for its clear waters and calm waves due to its location in a cove, it's a great spot for snorkeling and offers views of unique rock formations, part of the Izu Peninsula Geopark. The beach is accessible via a bus ride from Izukyu Shimoda Station or Shuzenji Station, followed by an 8-minute walk. Note that the rocky terrain may be challenging for some visitors. It's a quieter alternative to the more crowded beaches on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula, perfect for a peaceful day by the sea. The sunset views are particularly beautiful.
