Ishikoji Temple, also known as Sometera (Dyeing Temple), is located in Katsuragi, Nara Prefecture. Founded around 670 AD, the temple is associated with the legend of Princess Chujo, who is said to have dyed lotus threads in the temple's well to weave the Taima Mandala. Visitors can see the "Ito-kake Sakura" (thread-hanging cherry tree) and the "Some-no-I" (dyeing well) related to this legend. The temple is also famous for its seasonal flowers, including spring peonies and shakuyaku (peonies), and winter kanbotan (winter peonies) and early spring blossoms. It's about a 15-minute walk from Kintetsu Nijojinjaguchi Station or a 10-minute drive from the Katsuragi IC on the Minami-Hanna Expressway. Admission is ¥400 for adults and ¥200 for children.
