Yokotani Kannon is a serene temple located in Chino, Nagano Prefecture, offering stunning views of Yokotani Valley and the surrounding landscape. Founded in 1937 by General Ichise, the temple features a wooden statue of Kannon and a nearby observation deck providing panoramic vistas, including the majestic Ohtaki Waterfall. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk from the Yokotani Kannon parking area, passing the small Ohtaki Shrine along the way. The area is particularly beautiful during the autumn foliage season. A hiking trail connects to the Yokotani Valley promenade, though the final ascent to the temple is steep. The spacious free parking area also offers excellent views.
