Omogo Dam

Overview

The Omogo Dam is a multipurpose dam located upstream on the Niyodo River in Ehime Prefecture. The dam is accessible by car, approximately 110 minutes (60km) from Matsuyama IC. The surrounding area features a park, making it a pleasant destination for families. A notable feature is the white pedestrian suspension bridge called Shikisai Bridge, said to be the longest in Shikoku and the third longest in Japan. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the mountains, lake, and bridge. Be aware that access is somewhat limited, but it's a worthwhile stop for a scenic drive.
