Shii Bridge, a 315-meter long and 120-meter high bridge on National Route 45, offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Completed in 1984, it's one of the largest bridges of its kind in Japan. Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas from the bridge itself. The nearby Roadside Station Tanohata, renovated in April 2021, provides an excellent rest stop and vantage point. The bridge is easily accessible, just a 5-minute drive from the Sanriku Coastal Road Tanohata South Interchange. It's a great spot to appreciate the scenic beauty of the Sanriku coastline.
