Located in Shodoshima's Hishio no Sato (Soy Sauce Village), Takesan Memorial Hall Itoku-an is a shop and memorial hall dedicated to Takesan, a soy sauce and tsukudani (simmered food) maker. Here, you can sample and purchase a variety of soy sauce-based products, including tsukudani, dressings, and soy sauce soft serve ice cream. The building itself is a renovated tsukudani factory, offering a glimpse into the company's history. Don't miss the popular soy sauce-flavored senbei (rice crackers). Itoku-an is easily accessible by car or bus and offers ample parking. Open daily (except for the New Year holidays) from 9:00 to 17:00.
