Overview

Located on the grounds of the current Yamaguchi Prefectural Government Building, the Yamaguchi Prefectural Government Building and Former Prefectural Assembly Hall are prime examples of modern administrative architecture. Designed in a Late Renaissance style with Japanese and Asian influences by architects Goichi Takeda and Kinokuni Okuma, these buildings represent Western-style architecture of the Taisho era. Visitors can explore the former Prefectural Government Building, now the Prefectural Archives Museum, and the former Assembly Hall, now the Parliamentary Archives Museum.
