The Oshidori Kakushi Waterfall, also known as the Mandarin Duck Hideaway Waterfall, is a scenic spot near Lake Misaka in Chino, Nagano Prefecture. A short walk from Lake Misaka, the waterfall features a gentle cascade over rocks, offering a tranquil atmosphere and photogenic scenery. Visitors often combine a trip to the waterfall with a visit to the nearby Meiji Onsen Ryokan. Be aware that the path to the waterfall can be steep and rocky, requiring appropriate footwear. The waterfall is especially beautiful in early summer when the rare moss flourishes and during winter when the falls are partially frozen.
