Seibien Garden, a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, is a representative example of the "Oishi Bugaku-ryu" gardening style common in the Tsugaru region and is considered one of the three great gardens of the Meiji era. Along with Seibikan, which maintains a unique beauty in harmony with the garden, it has been designated as a national scenic spot. The entire site, including the building, is said to have been the model for the Ghibli movie "Arrietty," and many tourists visit from home and abroad. Located in Hirakawa City, Aomori Prefecture, Seibien is a 10-minute walk from Tsugaru-Onoe Station on the Konan Railway Konan Line. Admission is ¥500 for adults, with discounts available for groups and during the winter season.
