The Central Gate (Chumon) is the second gate encountered when approaching the Echizen Great Buddha, located after passing through the main gate. While not as large as the main gate, it's still an impressive structure that leads to the Great Buddha Hall. The gate features statues and provides a glimpse of the Great Buddha Hall, building anticipation for your visit. Covered walkways extend from either side of the gate, offering protection from the elements. The temple is accessible via a shuttle bus from Katsuyama Station on the Echizen Railway and is open daily from 8:00 to 17:00.
