Ryujin Onsen, nestled in the mountains of Wakayama Prefecture, is celebrated as one of Japan's three most renowned 'beauty hot springs,' known for its skin-softening waters. Legend says it was discovered by En no Gyoja and later developed by Kobo Daishi. The Ryujin Onsen Motoyu is a public bathhouse where visitors can enjoy the pure, radium-rich bicarbonate spring waters. Located along the Hidaka River, the onsen offers serene views and the soothing sounds of the flowing stream. Open from 7 AM (6 AM in summer) to 9 PM, it's easily accessible by bus from Kii-Tanabe Station.
