The Hinkoko Festival at Oyata Shrine is a unique cultural experience held annually. This 500-year-old puppet show, featuring scarecrow-like figures dancing to traditional music, is performed to pray for a bountiful harvest. The "Hinkoko Dance" is a highlight of the autumn Momiji Festival in late November. Located at Oyata Shrine in Mino, Gifu, the festival is easily accessible by bus from JR Gifu Station or a short drive from the Mino Interchange. The main festival occurs on the Sunday following the third Saturday of October, with additional performances during the Momiji Festival.
