Located in Hijiyama Park, overlooking Hiroshima, the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art showcases post-World War II modern art from Japan and abroad. Designed by Kisho Kurokawa, the building evokes a traditional Japanese storehouse. Visitors can explore diverse exhibits and enjoy outdoor sculptures. The museum is accessible by train or bus from Hiroshima Station, followed by a walk or use of the Hijiyama Skywalk. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (entry until 4:30 PM), it's a great place to spend a few hours appreciating art and enjoying the scenic views. Note that it's closed on Mondays (unless it's a holiday or August 6th, in which case it's closed the following weekday) and from December 27th to January 1st.
