Sagae City Folk Museum

Overview

Discover the Sagae City Folk Museum, housed in the relocated former Nishimurayama District Office and Assembly Hall within Sagae Park. Explore local history and culture through exhibits featuring artifacts from nearby archaeological sites, historical documents from the district government era, and photographs depicting life in Sagae since the Meiji period. The former District Office showcases agricultural tools and implements. Located a 15-minute walk from Sagae Station, the museum is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (closed Mondays, or the following day if Monday is a holiday). Admission is ¥50 for children and ¥100 for adults. A visit offers a glimpse into the region's past and the daily lives of its people.
