The Takada Castle Three-Story Turret, a symbol of Takada Castle, was rebuilt in 1993 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Joetsu City. Originally constructed in 1614 and destroyed by fire in 1870, the reconstruction was based on detailed historical research. Located in Niigata Prefecture, the turret is a 30-minute walk from Takada Station on the Echigo Tokimeki Railway Myoko Haneuma Line, or a 5-minute walk from the Takada Castle Park bus stop. The 1st and 2nd floors feature exhibits related to Takada Castle, while the 3rd floor serves as an observation deck. Visit during the cherry blossom season for stunning views of the illuminated turret and surrounding cherry trees.
