Anorisaki Lighthouse

Overview

Anorisaki Lighthouse, located in Shima, Mie Prefecture, is a unique square-shaped lighthouse and one of the few that visitors can climb. Built on Cape Anori, it offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Matoya Bay. The lighthouse is accessible by bus from Ugata Station, followed by a walk, and features a small museum with exhibits about its history and the film "Joy and Sorrow of Years." The surrounding park area is ideal for a leisurely stroll and offers scenic coastal views. Open from 9 AM, with a small entry fee, it's a tranquil spot to enjoy the natural beauty of the Shima Peninsula.
