Kasenuma Park, now also known as Moririn Kasenuma Park due to naming rights, is located between Rifu Town and Tagajo City, a 30-minute drive northeast from Sendai Station. This park, built on the west bank of the artificial Kasenuma reservoir created by a feudal lord in the Edo period, harmonizes nature and recreation. It features wide-open lawns, large playground equipment, and facilities for barbecues. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage. The park also offers a baseball field and soccer field, providing various recreational opportunities. In winter, migratory birds like swans visit the pond, making it a popular spot for families. Admission and parking are free.
