Discover the Take District Rice Terraces, a picturesque landscape of approximately 400 terraced rice paddies nestled in the mountains of Toho Village, Asakura District. Formed as early as the Muromachi period, this area is recognized as one of Japan's top 100 rice terraces and a place of beautiful historical significance. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the observation deck. The terraces are about a 20-minute walk from Chikuzen-Iwaya Station on the JR Hita-Hikosan Line. Be aware that the route to the terraces on the prefectural road 52 can be difficult to navigate, so asking for directions may be necessary. A visit during the growing season offers the most vibrant scenery.
